About Us

Located in the historic town of Newark-on-Trent. The Gift first began trading in 1989 as an oriental giftware and jewellery accessories store. 

As the trend for over-sized jewellery and eccentric giftware eventually ceased, we had already made a move in to collectable giftware (dolls & teddy bear ornaments) before stocking our first classical Steiff collection in 1995.

By late 1996 we were already a fully fledged bear store as we welcomed more and more famous names from around the world including Deans, Hermann, Merrythought and Robin Rive to our collection.

Our passion for teddy bears continued and today we have over 400 teddy bears in store - making us one of the most dazzling bear stores in Nottinghamshire.
