About Us

Located in the historic town of Newark-on-Trent. The Gift first began trading in 1989 as an oriental giftware and jewellery accessories store. 

As the trend for over-sized jewellery and eccentric giftware eventually ceased, we had already made a move into collectable giftware (dolls & teddy bear ornaments) before stocking our first classical Steiff collection back in 1995.

By late 1996, we were already a fully fledged bear store as we welcomed more and more famous names from around the world such as Deans, Hermann, Merrythought and Robin Rive to our ever-growing collection.

Our passion for teddy bears continued and today we have over 400 teddy bears in store - making us one of the most dazzling bear stores in Nottinghamshire.
